  1. San Francisco Bay area QUESTION: I'm not a Fisher owner (owing to finances) but have often considered that since my 50s, I get cold easily, and how nice it must be to have a pilot house, and have thought I might like to buy a Fisher some day, finances permitting.

However, I have not once seen a Fisher write in to the local sailing magazine Latitude 38, which has reader letters from all over, primarily Mexico and the South Pacific.

So, my question is, do Fisher owners sail the South Pacific and/or take long voyages, as in months or years? Have any done circumnavigations? Does the boat sail well despite the high pilot house, or are Fishers really a boat for sailing shorter voyages when the wind is aft, and especially in colder climes, or powering upwind hundreds of miles, and sailing to conserve fuel?
    Thanks very much!
